You may look at the Clean 9 from Forever Living and think that this is simply a 9-day thing. Although there is a large amount of truth in that, you will get the best results from the C9 if you get a few things done on the day before you are due to start. As a man approaching the age of 50, I am interested to know what the Clean 9 can do for me and my health.
And we’ll call this Day Zero for the purposes of this Clean 9 story that will unfold on this website. This isn’t the first time I have gone through the C9 so I kind of know what is in store. So I have put some tips on here to help you get the most from the Clean 9 and make this the perfect programme for you. Let’s take a look!
Get Your Food Prepped for the Best Clean 9 Experience
There will be a lot of focus on keeping up your energy levels over the next few days. But, there is also the issue that you can’t pick up any old snack to keep you going. There are free foods that you can eat throughout the Clean 9 programme to curb cravings. Here are a few of them –
- Rocket
- Celery
- Asparagus
- Apricots
- Cucumber
And many more! Here is the full list of free foods.
Now you know the kind of things you will be able to lean on, get to the supermarket or greengrocers and buy a stack of these. As a man approaching the age of 50, you will want to be as ready as possible to get the most from your Clean 9 journey. When you are feeling tired (this will happen) and need a quick lift (this will happen too!) you just want to grab something. Have it all to hand.
Take Your Measurements Before You Start Clean 9
The Clean 9 isn’t actually a diet programme. It is a cleanse that often has the side effect that you lose weight. But weight isn’t the only thing that you can measure. There are the ‘unmeasurable’ things such as how you feel but you can also have a few other measures that will actually mean something to you – if you know where to start.
The Clean 9 booklet that comes in the box gives you a list of the parts of your body that you can measure and use to monitor your progress. These are –
- Chest
- Biceps
- Waist
- Hips
- Thighs
- Calves
As well as your weight. Get all of these measured the day before you start (Day Zero) and you will be set to make the most of the C9 programme.
For the record, my measurements are –
- Chest = 108cm
- Biceps = 34.5cm
- Waist = 106.5cm
- Hips = 106.5cm
- Thighs = 59cm
- Calves = 42cm
- Weight = 15 stone 6 pounds
Now let’s see where the Clean 9 will take me!
Remember that this is a 9 day programme, so take a look at the rest of the blogs on this site that link together to give you the full story of my Clean 9 experience so you can see if it works for you too.
