Beans and Legumes. Another versatile food, beans and legumes don’t contain unhealthy fats and are scientifically proven to reduce cholesterol and risk of heart disease significantly.
Walnuts. Another source of those all important omega-3 fats, walnuts not only improve blood flow to the heart but can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by as much as 19%
Avocados. Avocados are good at reducing high cholesterol levels because they contain a lot of monounsaturated fat.
Oatmeal. Oats contain fibres and anti-inflammatory compounds, making them good at protecting you from diseases such as diabetes and heart disease, as proven by scientific studies.
Mushrooms. The magic ingredient of mushrooms is potassium which can reduce high blood pressure and also lessen the effects of having too much sodium in your body.
Olive Oil. Considered something of a miracle against many diseases, regular consumption of this substance can reduce your risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke and weight gain problems. It is considered one of the best foods for men approaching 50.
Yogurt. A major study was completed in a large group of adults which showed that regular consumption of yogurt can reduce risk of hypertension compared to those who don’t regularly consume yogurt.
